ABOUT JOHN HICKS B.A., M.A., LL.B. BARRISTER, SOLICITOR, NOTARY PUBLIC
John Hicks is a graduate of McMaster University, receiving an Honours B.A. in Philosophy (Dean's Honours) and an M.A. in Philosophy. During this time he is proud to have been mentored by George Grant, "Canada's pre-eminent Philosopher." Thereafter, he studied Philosophy at Northwestern University where he was awarded a Canada Council grant. He taught Philosophy at Brock University. Later he worked in real estate sales and investment for eight years. He graduated from the University of Toronto with an LL.B and received his degrees of Barrister and Solicitor from Osgoode Hall. He has been practising law in Burlington since 1986. He describes himself, in essence, as "A Problem Solver."
